Vintage with Yellow

Today is the last day of the Vintage series of challenges at 365 Card Blog.  I have really enjoyed playing along this week, the elegance of the era has been so easy getting the creativity flowing and the cards made!!

I loved making this card with a collage type background over gold card, all distressed and inked.  The embellishment is a cirle of lace with a double bow of sheer swirled ribbon and pearls and handmade rolled roses in yellow with burnishing on the lips of the petals.  I really do like making these roses.

The enjoyment of the week making these cards in the Vintage Series has been wonderful.  It is long time since I had done much vintage at all.

Get some crafting time in this week, relax and enjoy yourself.

Vintage Green

That title reminds me of that little miniature English village in Canberra, not far from the Ettamogah Pub!! But that is nowhere as pretty as Vintage with green posted below.  Timeless.

This would be my favourite, only because I just adore green.  Lovely background DP, distressed and rolled.  Lace, inked flowers with pearls, circular lace flower topped with handmade rolled rose.  I love how Victorian cards are just so open to adding flowers galore.  I love them.

This card is made for the 365 Card Blog Challenge Victorian with green.

Get into cardmaking your will love the feel of paper, so relaxing.

Pink is Perfect in Vintage!

Isn't this the perfect colour for Vintage, so soft, so feminine, so lovely to bring the style and elegance of the Victorian Era, where everything was a totally different way of life and living.

Just stunning with hand-dyed ribbon and lace, delicate flowers with pearl centres and a gorgeous handmade rolled rose amid a circular lace pice.  Background is stamped and layered with distressed DP embellished with cord and brads.

This card was made for the 365 Card Blog Challenge Vintage with Pink

Hope you get some cardmaking in soon.

Antique Red

Don't you just adore distressed or old looking cards??? Antique, aged or Victorian, whatever you call them, they are just beautiful and have something so special to just melt your heart and bring back memories.

This card is on black base card layered with distressed red shimmer cardstock.  The oatmeal strip is stamped with Stamp-It Victorian Lady and Stamp-It Old Document in Distress Ink Vintage Photo.  Embellished with lace, ribbon, pearls and mulberry roses.

Again this card reminds me of my Grandmother, it is the roses, pearls and lace, makes me feel so nostalgic.

Sketch Challenge at 365 Cards Blog

Love these sketch challenge, it makes me do something that I never think of!!! Gotta love that!!

Above is the sketch and below my interpretation.  For once I didn't change anything much at all!!!

I went for brights (not like me really) and used a DP background, fabric on JAC paper for the ribbon background.  Stamped a lovely Stamp-It flower stamp with Tombow Brush pens.  I couldn't have finished without putting some flowers on my card, don't you love the little buttons in the centres??? Oh and those cute little black brads under the sentiment.

This card was made for the Sketch Challenge this week on 365 Card Blog.

Don't forget... TGIF.... try getting inky fingers.... Tee Hee

Polkadot Flowers.....

My friend Joan had a flower on a card, and it just blew me away, so I had to ask, then I had to do!!!

These are made from FABRIC, how clever and how did I not think of this???  I put the fabric onto JAC paper (adhesive) and then ran them through the Big Shot with the Rose Creations dies from Spellbinders, WOW, I say!!

Then I just put onto plain copy paper and quickly snipped around them, shaped them and put them together, TA DAH, don't you think???

I love them, thank you Joan..... love you.

Hope you run something through your die cutter soon, I love mine....

Holding that Couch Down

This card was for the Alphabet Challenge on SCS and the letter was I, what better thing than an idler...

I love this image from the 9up papers from Stamp-It,  so very rural, so very relaxed, so very monochromatic like me!!

As I was making this card I thought so much of my friend Sam who is going through Chemo at the moment for the second time and is really struggling to do anything other than hold the counch down.  Love you Sam!!

Hope you all get inky fingers real soon!!
