Happy Birthday Swap for Nikki!!!!

How good is this, I am swapping again, and ready to go.  Took 2 spots and one will be this card and the other a nautical theme with lighthouse....

She is a cute image from Penny Black, transparent and she is Mimi.

I watermarked the background pink with Perfect Medium, attached a ribbon (with pop can tab as buckle) to DP and attached it to the pink, then to the card.  Stamped the greeting and Mimi with Ancient Page Coal Black.  She is coloured with watercolour pencils, but not blended.  Panels are cut with Nestabilities, layered and embellished with some brads, then mounted onto the card.  This card is side opening and inside is trimmed with a little pink and the designer paper.

A very easy card, but a lovely bright card that is delightful for a birthday, young or old!!

Saturday Offering

Well I promised myself I would clean and cook today, but I always say I do not do either of those jobs, so you won't be surprised that I made a card instead!!  I did the sketch challenge (from earlier in the week) from SCS.

I liked this result, it was a clean simple layout, I got to stamp a background, and used my Big Shot to emboss and cut, and I got to do a little colouring.  The colouring is important as it is a new direction to me and I am liking the results I am getting.

I mounted the image and the sentiment after I overlapped them to give some dimension, and embellished the inside with the off cuts of my background stamping.  No waste!!

And I used some brads to embellish the corners, top and bottom.  Yes it has everything I love..... including being mainly monochromatic!!!  Don't you just love it??

Friday BeadDay!!

Went to a friend's house today to teach her a few moves in beading, what a great student she is!!! Three of us made a phone/handbag bling, so easy, so much fun, so pretty

We had a great time, talking, beading, laughing and just being together.  I love spending time in good company, those who are open to tinkering with anything and having some fun.
