Hat Pins on Cards....

Hi Everyone,

I fell in love with these pins when I first made one and now so many of my cards have them on.  These two little beauties are made for Sam's Hat Pin Swap on SCS.  I almost pulled out of the card section because I just couldn't seem to come up with any ideas and my mojo seemed to be gone..... then..... WHAM it hit me and I made these two little beauties in record time.... can you believe it???

I really loved making this card and it was so easy and fairly quick too.  Cut the designer paper out and stitched it on the machine (finally remembered that step), put it all together, added a lace strip, a flower, some twine and a bow with a hat pin.  And of course a nice birthday wish!!

Could not be any easier and it looks so speccy!!

The above stitched card is entered into the Dolce Stamps and Cards: It's a "faux" Real Challenge

This one was really easy too, dark cardstock base card with white (Alabaster) fluid chalk stamping, a panel with a label frame cut out, and fixed in place with dimensional tape.  Some die cute foliage, gold cord and a fabric flower (cut from old curtains), with a button to finish off.  A ribbon sentiment of cherish, some pearls to balance and a little bow with the special hat pin in it.

This is a very pretty card too.

Well Sam I hope you like them.  You nearly missed out, how lucky can you be???

Ahoy There Matey!!!!!

Hi Everyone!!

This is my second post today.  Scroll down for the other.

I have had this die cut set for a long time and only ever kept making pirates and ships for my little friends.  So now I have made a card with it!!! How clever of me.  It fitted well with the Alphabet Challenge Letter P on SCS.

He is so very cute isn't he???  I love the way the torn oatmeal paper makes the beach and my new medium scallop border die is the ocean waves with a little white gel pen added.  I had to give him a peg leg and a hook, how else would a pirate look???

My friend Helen really liked this one, she is the die cut queen.  Hi Helen!!

Challenges this card fit in and entered.

Alphabet Challenge Letter P - Split Coast Stampers

Hope you get to get inky soon.

Slugs and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails...

Hi Everyone

Hope  you have been getting some inky fingers or at least touching some paper or fabric.  This little card was made for the I Spy Challenge on SCS but also fits in the Southern Girls Challenge.  I applied for their DT and didn't make it so best enter their challenges and they might let me join them for a GDT at some stage....

He is so cute, he is an image that someone sent me with my last swap, I love him...  He really is slugs and snails and puppy dog tails.  Coloured with Prismacolors, the brads are coloured with overhead projection markers and tissued off before drying.  Bright colours to layer and some ric rac.

Such an easy card but so good for the little boy in my life.

This card is entered in the I Spy Challenge on SCS and Southern Girls Challenge 29 Slugs and Snails and Puppy Dogs Tails

Will be getting inky again soon.

Wedding or Formal Dress....

Hello everyone!!!

This card was inspired by the I Spy Challenge on SCS, always makes me think but I never get it right.  Dani gives us clues like... It is White, It is Long, It has sparkles, It has a black bow in the middle. It makes many a married woman look beautiful.

Well my thoughts ran to a diamond necklace.... but who has that stamp?? Oh I know I could have put rhinestones in all the right places on an elegant lady stamp, but I wanted to make a white dress!!

I love this, so easy to create and looks really stunning.  It has everything the challenge asked for and is such an elegant card.  The thing I have noticed about this challenge is that you don't have to get it right, you just have to make something, what fun.

Thanks for coming by to look,

Hope you get to make something great this week.

The Bride and Groom

Hello Everyone!

It has been a while between posts and again I say to you that I will try to be more regular at this blogging caper.  Have to be, I want to be a Guest DT member somewhere, anywhere that will have me!! Over the last month I have been so unwell, unable to blog, but still making some cards, I am  much, much better now.

This card was made after thinking for a while about a card I saw with the most delicate flower spray on it.  Really fine, whispy fern leaves and tiny flowers.  So very pretty that I could not get it out of my mind and I knew I had that hand punch somewhere and a fern leaf that I could use, even if not the same.

I also added larger flowers to my spray.  I like it, although I think I can also do better with a bit of practice and a bit of patience.  I loved making the tiny flowers and would never had thought of shaping such small ones, but they do look adorable.

Judy from SCS (jaydekay) suggested that this card would fit into the We Are Thinking Pink Challenge over on Sassy Cheryl's Digi Stamps Challenge 84 so I did!!!

Hope you get inky, punching or really crafty soon!!

Vintage with Yellow

Today is the last day of the Vintage series of challenges at 365 Card Blog.  I have really enjoyed playing along this week, the elegance of the era has been so easy getting the creativity flowing and the cards made!!

I loved making this card with a collage type background over gold card, all distressed and inked.  The embellishment is a cirle of lace with a double bow of sheer swirled ribbon and pearls and handmade rolled roses in yellow with burnishing on the lips of the petals.  I really do like making these roses.

The enjoyment of the week making these cards in the Vintage Series has been wonderful.  It is long time since I had done much vintage at all.

Get some crafting time in this week, relax and enjoy yourself.
