Coat of Many Colours....

Well Dani will be proud of me, I did make a card this week but I am not too sure I am on time to be in the drawing for her Musical Challenge on SCS.

She is a lovely girl from Penny Black, and I have coloured her with watercolour pencils, tied some cord below her, matted her onto a scalloped purple border.  Then the background is swiss dots embossed.  The flowers are coloured with prismacolors.

Hope you get crafting time this week.

Polkadots and Flowers.....

I love flowers and I love polkadots, so this card has to of the things I love on it!! How cool is that?  Oh oh and it is the first card I have used my new notebook punch from SU.  I love that punch, so many possibilities!!

I made this card for 365 cards blog a couple of days ago, but alas no batteries for the camera!  Had to wait to take the photo to be able to upload this.  Now have to go and link it up.

Anyway I am still loving all sorts of flowers, stamped ones, paper ones, die cut ones and punched ones.  Those I make myself are always the closest to my heart.

Hope you get some crafting in.

Marci is going to get wet!!

I just love this little image, my effort is putting her on the beach but not yet in the water.  She is Marci from LaLaLand Stamps and she is adorable.

When I got her I found I could either get a rubber cling mount stamp or a digi and since I loved her as a ballerina and a little dress up girl as well, and I loved the boy image at the beach as well, I decided to go for digi and I could get all four for under $20.  How good is that????  Now just to find the time to use them to justify the expense.......

A very simple card for me, only a little layering and the image and sentiment on the ribbon.  How cute.

Autumn Leaves are Falling....

I just love the rich colours and cooler mornings of Autumn.  Such a dramatic palette, so much change, so much movement.  It is my favourite time of the year and just warms my heart and makes me feel so nostalgic.

What a very special card for Sam's Fall Swap on SCS.  I used my new Sizzix embossing folder (Fall) to emboss the background, added a ribbon and brads.  Then set about making a pile of heat embossed maple leaves.  Aren't they gorgeous falling to the foreground like that???  I love this card.  Maybe because it is in a couple of my favourite colours!!

I hope Sam likes it, and I hope you do too!!  Hope you get crafting today, I have been.

Geisha Girl

I love Oriental stamps, the simple ones not the really elaborate.  This little lass is one of my favourites but is not inked enough.

Dramatic red and black frame her with cord to embellish below.  She is coloured with metallic colouring pencils.  And don't the falling flowers just look devine??

I made this (but took a few liberties, well what is cardmaking without them?) for the 365 days of cards sketch challenge.  Here is the sketch. Ok so I moved things about a bit, that's what it is all about isn't it???

She is a stamp from Stamp-It, like the majority of my stamps, I like Aussie home grown companies where I can get them.

Love the sea....

Don't you just love looking at a seascape? The water, maybe a lighthouse and maybe some action either on or in the water?  I love the ocean, but not the sand, I love to see fish and sealife but do not like to eat it.  Funny that.

I loved making this card.  I stamped the dolphins and then masked them to stamp the lighthouse.  Coloured the image, matted it, put the panel onto an embosses rays piece on the card.  Tried to make 'waves' at the bottom, added some ribbon, a charm and my flowers with button centres.

It gives me a good feeling looking at this card, like I said before I love the ocean and all that is on, near or in it.  Just the sand that is a problem.  See no sand!!

Puff the Magic Dragon.....

I just adore this little guy, he is scraplifted from not sure where, but I do love punchart, it is so clever.  I only wish I could have some ideas of my own!!

I love the cleverness of punchart, probably the most fun playing with paper!!  I hope you like him.

Today I will be cleaning out my craft room then creating another mess, as I have to finish my Forest Swap cards, they should be in the post now, but I am late in my schedule.

Who's in the Forest???

Well I am of course.  Here is the prototype, long thought about, sufficient paper shuffling and then a quick put together to get your feedback.  This is me, lovely, lady, flowers, embellies and something quirky!!

Love stripes, love masking, love flowers in the garden and on cards, love love love swirls and pearls, just wish I could be as elegant as this lady is, sadly I am just me!!

Just Rolling Along.....

These cards were made for DellsDani's Keep it Wheeling Swap on SCS, I loved making them.

This card is made using Jumbo Wheels, SU Swirls and Rollagraph Four Flowers.  Coloured in tombow pens to add brightness and match the background.  One flower is highlighted using Glossy Accents.
This one is made using Regular Wheels.  The background is made using a selection of background type wheels from Rollagraph (sticks, shooting star, grid, dots/lines, etc), then cut and reassembled to make a mosaic style background.  The tiles are embossed and from the Rollagraph Floral Squares, all matted on black and embellished with ribbon.

Elypant is my Elephant

I made this card for DellsDani's Alphabet Challenge on SCS, E is for Elephant.

I love the cleverness and creativity of punchart (or die cut art).  I have done this one with Nesties Ovals as I do not have an oval punch.  They are on my wishlist for a very soon purchase.

Sizzix Tim Holtz Bird Cage Die....

Well finally I have made a card with this die.  I ordered it ages ago and it came about a month ago when life was a little hectic, so didn't use it.  I cut it out as I always do that with new dies, and I admired the die cuts.

The die is just beautiful and I love the way Sizzix dies cut so cleanly every time.  I just need a money tree in the backyard..... yeah right, stop dreaming and get on with it I say.

I decided to make a Christmas Card with it as the silver cage goes so well with burgundy and forest green.  I put an impression on the cage with a fiskars texture plate.  I love using plates and folders.  Cut some branches and flowers and molded the cage to appear rounded.  Pearl centres for the flowers and a hook and bow at the top of the cage.

And birdie was inked with a swirl stamp and he is holding the sentiment in his beak.....  I have seen a bird holding ribbon sentiments before, cannot remember where.
